Any update on possible iPad application?
Yes, an iPad version would be great!!!
i am a registered user of tether to my bb storm 2 . works great with my pc's. purchased an IPAD, and would like to have the same feature on that. do not want to spend on a data service via at&t. So when are we going to get this service.THX
Tether does not have a timeline when this will be developed.
Any other way to make this happen? Are you in the development stage now?thx
Sorry this is the only information I can provide at this point.

Any update at all. I am spending so much on the AT&T connection. Thanks, and sorry to bother.
Any news on tether for iPad yet?
It looks like it's been a little while since the Tether app for iPad topic has been addressed. Ipad 2 is on it's way, can we expect the app anytime soon? I too am having a tough time waiting patiently for this one, any updates? Thank you.
Ipad 2 is out, and no solution yet?Come on guys, i want to start using my ipad instead of the pc. By the way your prodcut is super good. Thank you.
Sorry Tether currently does not have a time frame.
Are you working on this at all? Thanks
Yes Tether is working on a Ipad solution.
coming anytime soon? I am using the sprint mobile hotspot Pro now, and it is costing me an arm and a leg. Would love to use my storm 2 , the way i am using now to access the pc.Also will I have to get another copy to access the ipad...when ready? Thanks.
At this time there is no time frame.
Tether currently does not have purchase information for the Ipad version of Tether either.
hi this application is compatible with new samsun replenish(android 2.2 from sprint.
Thanks.
Yes Tether is supported on all Androids running Android OS 1.6 and higher.
I just found out about tether and it was a huge letdown to see that the app would not work on ipad.
as soon as this is released, i would be all over this...
I dont think it would be impossible to accomplish, every ipad has bluetooth in it, so...
well thanks anyhow
Hey guys - it appears Apple won't let them sell the app in he App store. However, if you root your phone, just unlock the Mobile Hotspot feature and can connect via wifi on the iPad.
Best of luck to you all .. If anyone finds a better way, please shoot me an email.
Thanks,
Why would Apple allow an app to be sold that would completely annihilate their 3G iPad market ??? To get around that it would require a 'jailbroken' iPad and Tether would have to be sold in the 'unofficial' Cydia app store like so many other products...
as fdreano suggested; how about a release on Cydia?
Just got Tether for my iPhone and it works great. Does this HTML5 solution mean you're closer to a solution to tether a WiFi iPad?
I have been running on my iPad2 (5.0.1) for three days now and it has worked solidly with no problems.
Only "problem" is that it requires keeping the tether.com/web page always "on top" on the iPad, so while using my mac, I cannot use my iPad and while using my iPad I lose internet on my mac. Going back to the page restores the connection almost instantly, so no bad problem, just very inconvenient. But worth it for me, I can use my mac at home now via iPad data contract and without Jailbrake.
I also have a jailbroken iPad2 Cydia/MyWi, which is far superior. It runs in background, requires even less setup, and supports 5 connections. But now iOS 5.1 is out and I'll lose my jailbreak if I upgrade, so in a few days, if I determine tether keeps working, I'll go ahead with iOS 5.1 and forget MyWi.
This article: http://www.iphonesavior.com/2012/03/tether-unveils-html5-iphone-tetherin...
which is just a few days old, quotes a tether press release (which I can't find) as saying:
"Tether's new version for the iPhone is purely based on HTML5 and creates a completely wireless connection over AdHoc. This circumvents the need for buying the application directly from Apple's App Store and allows any iPhone or ***iPad*** with a data connection to allow tethering." the Tether team wrote in their official press release.
And in the video there, the guy identifies himself as "patrick from tether.com" and he specifically says it works on iPad.
When I contacted customer support two days ago they told me it is NOT supported.
Well, it works great for me! I just hope its not a "fluke" and they are testing it or developing it and may remove it at any time! But so far, so good!
I set up my iphone and PC with the tether package yesterday. After a few hours of this and that (incl. rebooting both devices) it got to the point where the iphone and PC were connected but there was no internet connection. (I had the iphone connnected to the computer via USB.)
Today the iphone and PC were connected wirelessly and there is internet connection. I cannot figure it out. But happy that it works and hope it continues.
I purchased the iphone version of tether specifically so I can use my wifi only iPad 2 (with my iPhone). I didn't think this was supported, but wanted to get it just in case something happens to it in the future (again).
Also, I think it is time that the tether support team puts an iPhone category in their support forums!!
iPad to iPhone tether please!!

I would really like to tether my ipad 2 to the iphone. ATT doesnt even allow me to give them money for the privilege.
