Question This tether beta is for the OS android not the actual phones themselves. The tether is to run on the OS android correct? Might be a dumb question I needed to ask thou.
Waiting to switch to an android OS phone soon when beta is over.

I don't understand your question exactly, Tether for Android is similar to Tether for BlackBerry.
Tether for Android runs on the Android phone just like it does on BlackBerry.
Tether is faster on Android in most cases.

This is of course because most devices currently running Android have faster CPU clock speeds and more/faster memory.
Newer BlackBerry devices are also very fast on Tether if not equally fast.
This is why I stated "in most cases", also limited by your network connection type and quality of the signal.
Android will not be a miracle device if used in the same area of a BlackBerry that lacks tethered speed.
