We have two blackberry phones and only one computer. Tired of loning my phone to my son for him to get on computer/internet. If I purchase Tether for his Blackberry, do I need to download Tether App. twice on my computer? Will this cause any problems? Need to know before I purchase his Tether for his phone. Because I'm not going to buy him a computer too. LOL
2 blackberry phones/one computer.
Thanks. That's nice to know since it's time for me to upgrage my phone.
I know what you are going through. I actually have two laptops in the house and three Blackberry Tours. All three Tours have Tether on them (Yes it was expensive.)
So yes, you can buy your son Tether and have him use his Blackberry instead of yours, and both of you can use the one laptop.
As the poster above me said, Tether looks at the phone to determine if it can connect or not. You can use your existing tether desktop software to connect both phones.
Hope this helps!
Thank you broadwayblues, and of course thanks to you also hhzhao.
Yes it does help. Just purchased Tether for his phone and was trying to download the tether application again on the Laptop (which would not download correctly). If what you are saying, is I don't have to download the application again for his phone, it saves my a lot of time and trouble. Thanks
It can be expensive at first, but you have to admitt that it does pay off in the long run. :)

Tether is licensed based on phone not computer. each Blackberry installation needs its own license. You can, however, transfer license from one phone to the other should the original phone gets replaced.
